Katt Williams The G.O.A.T Of Comedy?! Breaking The Internet 2024

Katt  Williams Sit's On The Comedy Throne... Setting A Record, While Setting The Record Straight, Breaking The Internet

So, I couldn't let the year nor the month go by without reigning Katt Williams the official King of comedy or would it be more politically correct to call Katt the G.O.A.T of Comedy? Now I'm sure we've all seen or heard by now Katt Williams roasting Black Hollywood speaking on some of the most unknown unspoken of topics in the industry.
I mean Katt sitting on that couch talking to Shay Shay was almost just as entertaining if not better than watching him in person.

Katt went in and let out a whole two hours and forty six minutes with five seconds interview on Club Shay Shay as he opened up the interview calling out Ricky Smiley on numerous allegations of Smiley lying about roles, scripts, auditions, castings being held in regards to movies one well known movie being "Friday After Next." I quote Katt "Could you see Rickey Smiley playing a pimp?!" My answer... no and honestly I can't see any of the actors in that movie playing any other role than the role they played. Js

Then I loved how Katt hit us with not just layman's terms but terminology. He said and I quote "Rickey Smiley was so "Egregious." Lmao Then Shay Shay with his sippin tea and pouring it (iyk, yk) Shannon gone ask " why would you put that in yo contract Katt that Rickey Smiley would have to put on a dress in future projects?! It was the response for me that Katt gave, Katt said "they play good women and I believe the best actor should be in the best role." I'm done here ladies and gentlemen, I can't with Katt. Lol

Continuing into the dialogue the conversation shifted into Steve Harvey and Cedric The Entertainment it took another turn when Katt mentioned Steve Harvey having every Black man thinking he had the best lineup in the business when in reality it was a man hair unit. Lmao

Katt was gassing so hard Shay Shay said " I don't know Katt we might can't let you drink no more." This whole interview was straight comedy in itself  and let's be honest Shay Shay's sarcasm fueled Katt's flame. I damn near choked when Shay said "Fay just caught a stray." The interview went on as Katt exposed Kevin Heart too as he mentions Kevin Heart already had a fan base on the East coast before his international claim to fame basically saying Kevin didn't necessarily start from the bottom but he here.

As the interview progressed Katt Williams go's on to reveal more about himself and his upbringings. I liked how Shannon turned the conversation on Katt to not only focus on other comedians but also on himself. This was one of the most entertaining, insightful and truthful interview I think has ever been aired with the exception of when Whitney Houston went off on Wendy Williams backed in 2003 yet I digressed back to Katt.

The interview then went from 0 to 100 real quick as Katt started talking about him being homeless and his transitions in life that lead him to grooming himself into being one of the greatest comedians to reign in the profession.

I could go on and on with this post but I'd be here for hours. As many has said since the interview they have gained a greater appreciation for Katt Williams and I agree. I appreciate him as not only a comedian but a person as he's had his trials and tribulations as we've all had but it didn't brake him it made him better. His humor, honesty, diplomacy and character projected in this interview conveys why Katt Williams Reign's King Of Comedy as he breaks the internet in 2024.

In closing I ask...if Katt is not the G.O.A.T of Comedy then who is?! I'll wait

The 2022 Oscar's Will Smith vs Chris Rock, The Slap That Echoed For Days

Well People It's Been A Minute, But A Slap Hasn't Made This Much Noise Since, Well This Past Sunday Night At The 2022 Oscars... And I Think It's Because We All Felt It...

While, and of course, the internet stampede is about Will Smith slapping the Black off Chris Rock's face at the Oscars Sunday night... I mean slapping the taste out this man's mouth. Here's the real question everyone's asking, " Who was wrong, Will Smith or Chris Rock?"

Was it Will Smith for reacting the way he did, swearing, getting up out of his seat walking up the stage, hauling off, and slapping Chris Rock for making a joke about Jada's alopecia condition? Or was it Chris Rock wrong for making an insensitive joke about Jada? What are your thoughts?

Because honestly, both men made each other look immature and juvenile. As an adult and by doing a documentary called "Good Hair" based on Black women's self-esteem when it comes to our hair Chris Rock should have been more tactful displaying more sense than shooting on a Black Queen period. Especially, when she's dealing with a condition that causes her to lose her hair. Because when it comes to women and our hair, speaking as a woman of color we're like Ericka Badu says's "Sensitive about our ish."

Then, on the other hand, Will Smith could have been more tasteful in how he handled the matter because truth is told he laughed at the J.I. Jane joke about his wife too until he saw Jada's reaction then he wanted to get all "Mike Larry" on his "Bad Boys" tip with Chris Rock which was very distasteful knowing Chris Rock wasn't a threat. Simply expressing the distastefulness of the quote-on-quote joke would have been just as constructive. Because come on Will you didn't see Christ Rock when you slapped him, you saw August Alsina, the man you should've and really wanted to slap the sh*t out of for having an affair with your wife. And as the saying goes " it's not what you do, it's how you do it." And Will Smith didn't do it "Big Willie" style at all, he handled it in a very elementary way.

Will Smith has been waiting on the opportunity to show Jada he's truly a thug like her Ex, Tupac (R.I.P) for a while now but that wasn't the moment nor opportunity to prove that, especially not by slapping Chris Rock over a hair joke. I understand they were amongst peers but when the WORLD gossiped and etc. about Jada's "Entanglement" Will didn't slap August, but he'd slap Chris Rock?! Over a joke instead of slapping the sh*t out of August for sleeping with his wife. Mad Points lost

Now, I could've seen Will slapping Chris over Jada if he would've slapped the sh*t out of August then I'd been like " Well, Chris you already know Will don't play about his wife" but that's not the case in this matter. So, I can't be team Will on this one for the other fact, you Can Not Slap a person because of something they said that you don't like or agree with. After all, if that was the case people would be getting slapped every second of the day. Therefore, I'm Rockin with Chris Rock because he's a comedian, and telling jokes is what he does, although the joke wasn't funny because of the sensitive nature of it, I don't think he deserved to get slapped, maybe cursed out but not slapped. Another reason I'm riding with Chris Rock is because of the way he reacted to Will Smith's actions, he remained composed and professional even after being slapped which I'm sure took a lot of self-discipline on his behalf because I was taught "If somebody hit you, you better turn around and hit they azz back." So, kudos to Chris Rock for handling that situation better than a lot of other people in the Black community would've had in his position.

Moving on, there was no win in this matter because two wrongs don't make a right and both men were wrong but there are two things for sure, we all should have learned from the 2022 Oscars, what alopecia is because I'm sure anyone who didn't know by now has Googled it and that you should Neva, Neva, Neva, Eva ( In My Chris Tucker Voice) talk about a woman and her hair because if she doesn't slap the sh*t out of you maybe her man Will.

Chloe Bailey, Medusa?!

So As DJ Khalid Would Say We Have "Another One!"

Another Hot artist that is, that has dropped some new music in the past week. Three weeks ago Drake dropped "Official Lover Boy" leaving a lot of us with our devices on repeat and last week Ms. Chloe Bailey dropped her first solo, titled " Have Mercy" and it's already hit over 14 million views.  Now some may know Chloe from her performing with her sister Halle as a music duo along with the roles they play on the hit show " Grownish" but now the two sisters have somewhat branched off and are doing their own independent projects.

Nonetheless, I couldn't wait to see what all the hype was about when it came to her new video, so as soon I got the chance I watched it and was blown away by her performance in her video. She's embraced herself a lot more than before being less modest as far as sex appeal, unlike a few months ago when she went on IG defending herself against haters for her newfound love and acceptance for her body. Watching her new video had me like " Is This the same Chloe Bailey?! Lol

As I continued to watch the video I noticed Chloe portrayed herself as Medusa but that wasn't the first time she's taken on the Medusa persona. So, who was Medusa, and why is Chloe Bailey compared to this Greek Gorgon?
So Medusa represents philosophy, beauty, and art which also describes Chloe Bailey. Yet, then again the legend tells of Medusa once being a beautiful, avowed priestess who was cursed for breaking her vow to celibacy, and when looking at her new video "Have Mercy" it makes it look like Chloe is far from being out of touch with her sexuality, turning guys into stone and all. Medusa also symbolizes erotic desire, which erotic desire is displayed all throughout that video displaying Chloe as an attractive yet dangerous woman.

Moreover according to symbolsage.com

"Modern powerful women have proudly worn a head full of snakes to depict power, sexuality, and the acknowledgment of their emerging role in society and politics. Some of the most famous female names have been associated with the image of Medusa, including Rihanna, Oprah Winfrey, and Condoleezza Rice."

Therefore, after doing a little digging on Medusa I can see why the industry keeps projecting Chloe as Medusa as she's a talented young woman with a high level of sex appeal that surely catches the opposite sex eye, so be careful guys because she turning yall into stone...Lol She's also beautiful and philosophical when it comes to her existence in the place, she's in right now in the arts. So with that being said may she continue to climb the ladder of success as she embarks on her new solo career as the renowned Chole Bailey.

I Don't Own Any Rights To The Music Video "Have Mercy"

Certified Lover Boy?!

Drake's new album "Certified Lover Boy" is Poppin! None other than the Lover Boy himself dropped his new album this past week and it's blowing up speakers everywhere...Got that "Hotline Bling."

Certified Lover Boy has not disappointed as the wait was worth this sixth album. The album doesn't just have dope lyrics but dope beats as well as I have some of the tracks on repeat just for the beat alone, as I'm asking "Who Made The Beats?!"

He has a host of featured artists that also brings the fire from Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Giveon, Future, Jay-Z to a host of others that sends this album to its peak, no Drake didn't make this wave alone.

I'm already holding conversations with people about their thoughts on the album as we discuss our favorite tracks. And honestly, the whole album goes not just one track. But of course, everyone has that one track or two that they just gravitate, connect with, and vibe out to while listening to this joint.

Moreover, this sixth album doesn't just spark conversation because of how it didn't disappoint but also because of the album cover which displays rows of pregnant women, which has people questioning the meaning behind it. He also has a track on his album called "Papi" which on this tracks The Lover Boy  says "To All My Sons Worldwide." Having people ask "what does Drake mean by that verse?" The funny thing is there are so many speculations and questions being asked about the album cover I can't cover them all \'.'/

Then you have other people asking does the album cover express the notion that Drake has had multiple women pregnant worldwide? As we should all know by now there is always a hidden message when it comes to these types of things...Lol We just have to wait and see will Drake speak on it.

Nonetheless, if you haven't heard "Certified Lover Boy" yet do yourself a favor and check it out so you can catch that wave and feel the heat that everyone else is feeling right now before the end of Summer. Ijs ;.p

P.S. For Those Who Listen From A Desktop or Laptop You'll Get To Hear The Music Playing Which Gets Changed Every Week.

Let's Go Space Jam 2 "VS" Space Jam

So let's go there with the original "Space Jam Vs  Space Jam 2" because I'm part of the generation that was able to see and appreciate the original Space Jam that featured one of the most Prominent Basketball Players of his time the One and Only flight man himself Micheal Jordan. Now don't get me wrong I've recently watched both versions of Space Jam back to back and the new version featuring "King James" is of his own caliber.

I've been a busy bee hearing the buzz as some people feel as though Warner Bros should have left Space Jam as it was with people asking " Why mess with perfection?" And asking questions "Like did we really need a Space Jam 2? And did LeBron bring that originality, like Jordan did in the original Space Jam?" And honestly, the reviews are mixed.

I can't lie LaBron James really took a chance playing that role behind Jordan 15 yrs later and I don't even think it was about Jordan when it comes to Space Jam2 I think it was that Space Jam was perfected and didn't need a second part yet you know the motto " money talk and bullcrap walks." None the less Space Jam 2 is of its time and I don't feel as though the two movies " part 2" can be compared to each other. I think part 2 is of its generation and that's what makes it unique despite some people calling the movie a flop.

Then let's not forget when Micheal Jordan played in the original Space Jam movie unlike flexing like Paramount Pictures did in Space Jam2 with almost if not every character they've ever had making a cameo in Space Jam2  Warner Bros played a Strong hand in 1996 by incorporating the Looney Tunes into the Space Jam because in the 90's Looney Tunes apparel was trending and popular. Remember Lot29 and Ice Berg clothing?!

And don't even get me started about Space Jam: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture and its All-Star list of Artists who was featured on it from R.Kelly "I believe I can fly," Monica " For You I Will" Seal "Fly Like A Eagle" etc. The original Space Jam soundtrack doesn't even come close to being compared to Space Jam 2 soundtrack. There's no competition between the two when it comes to the soundtracks because hands down the Original Space Jam soundtrack Reigns Supreme!

Moreover, that leads me to Coming to America

And how it had me asking the same questions people were asking about Space Jam 2...Like all these years later did we really need a part 2 of Coming to America? I mean Coming to America itself was a classic on its own with "Soul Glo, Sexual Chocolate " and "The MacDowells" those scenes and characters along with the whole cast and script had me ROTF LMAO as a little girl, Eddie Murphy was just genius for that movie and when watching Coming to America 2 it just doesn't seem to hold the same Weight as the 1st Coming To America does as well as did yet then again I do understand it's not of my time but more so of today's generation and to them part 2 of Coming to America will be the classic of their time. I'm just grateful that my generation had the Best versions of both movies plus soundtracks and that I'm able to compare the two from then until now...Lol

So I close with the ball in your court... As I ask your thoughts on the sequels Space Jam2 and Coming to America 2 along with the soundtracks for both movies.

Until Next Time "Power Up!" ;.)

Rob Kardasian and Blac Chyna?!

So, I thought the buzz would have died down by now about Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna but that hasn't seem to be the case for some months now. Especially, since rapper, the Game recently shared that he allegedly slept with Blac Chyna but not in those words. Seems like the shade is real...

Alright, so since Rob and Blac Chyna starting dating earlier in the year this web has seemed to just grow bigger and bigger, so let's try to make an attempt to untangle this weave. Shall we begin?!

So, we all know that Tyga (Blac Chyna's Baby daddy) dated Kylie Jenner back in 2014, who's Rob Kardashian's little sister because of Bruce Jenner who's currently known as Caitlyn Jenner.

Tyga split from Blac Chyna after years and a son together before he began his relationship with Kylie Jenner. (Keep up with me..Lol)

Then seem's like shortly after the break up between Tyga and Kylie up sprang the relationship between Tyga's baby momma Blac Chyna and another Kardashian family member Rob, which whom remember is Kylie's brother thanks to Kris Jenner their mom.

Moving along here, so while Tyga did not have any offspring while with his Jenner-Kardashian, his baby momma Blac Chyna did, which have since been a Big topic of discussion as far as water-cooler buzz.

What are your thoughts?

Academy Awards Boycott

Well, All Happy 2016!

It has been a while but I've returned because of the heat this winter that's hit before Summer. However, before I jump into what's going on around town I'd like to Thank all my readers and listeners who view my blog for the good vibes as well as content ;.p

This Thanks Is To You! Emoji smiley face

Alright. Now, what brought me into RelatableTopics is the "Academy Awards" boycott controversy and I'd like to know what you all think about the matter. Do you favor that "Jada & Will" Love or do favor that "Aunt Viv" Love?

If you're not aware Jada & Will Smith as well as another high profile celebrity Spike Lee
decided to boycott the Oscars this year due to the lack of racial diversity, which the Academy awards say they're coming up with a  resolution to find a way for the award show to be less distorted as far as diversity. Now is that to say they're admitting to not being racially fair in the past? Somewhat like the Grammy's?

Now as far as the boycott, Jada Pickett Smith spoke out saying " Minority actors, as well as actress, should not have to beg or plead for an Oscar award" while Spike Lee just plain out subbed the awards by stating " He and His wife Mrs. Lee will not be attending the Oscars awards this year" as to say "Thank you for the invite, but no thank you."

While on the other hand we have Janet Hurbert better know as "Aunt Viv" from the hit t.v. show  The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air firing off while not holding back stating" 26 years ago when she suggested the whole Fresh Prince of Bel-Air cast get together and ask for a raise, Will Smith stated, "my deal is my deal and ya'll deal is ya'll deal." This seems to suggest the Smiths now seek the same desire Ms.Hurbert was seeking 26 odd years ago, support within her culture.

Ms. Hurbert also went on to say "The Smiths are part of the snobbish Hollywood, they're boycotting" as she acknowledged world hunger, minorities dying as well as others struggling to pay their bills while telling the Smiths " ya'll motherfuc*ker's worried about celebrities and awards" just because Will Smith didn't win an Oscar award!

Mz. Janet stated she feels as though  Jada Pickett Smith is trying to stir up controversy from other "Blacktress's and Black actors" to stand with them as that could potentially jeopardize their careers if they join in the " Oscar" boycott with those who have made the decision not to attend the event. Unlike those who choose to be against the boycott such as Whoopi Goldberg as well as Chris Rock who will be hosting the awards.

Ms.Hubert also goes on to state that Jada as well as her husband has made millions and millions of dollars from these same people they are making the choice to boycott. Moreover, according to Ms. Hubert that is an industry no, no.

Including that if anyone should have won an Oscar it should have been Idris Elba for his role in " Beast In No Nation." Which it is known Idris Elba certainly deserves an award for his performance.
Ms.Hubert did not hold her feelings back and in the end, she stated "The only Oscar she's worried about is Oscar Mayer wiener." Lmao

None the less when it comes to the Oscars "Academy" awards minorities are highly aware that the Oscars tend to favor actresses and actors who are not of minority descent unless the role involved unfavorable scripts.

Such as Holly Berry in " Monster Ball," comedian Monique for her role in "Precious," Denzel Washington in his role as a corrupt cop in "Training Day" and not to mention the First ever African American to win an Oscar Hattie McDaniel  who won supporting actress as a house slave in "Gone with the wind" back in 1939.

In closing the Academy awards as of 2016 will have matured 88 years, so maybe it's time if it hasn't already been time for  the Academy awards to do as Spike Lee suggested back in 1989 and  "Do The Right Thing."

As Always Thank You For Reading My Blog And May You Have A Prosperous 2016!

Don't Forget To Support The NAACP Image Awards on February 5th on TVOne!
