Chloe Bailey, Medusa?!

So As DJ Khalid Would Say We Have "Another One!"

Another Hot artist that is, that has dropped some new music in the past week. Three weeks ago Drake dropped "Official Lover Boy" leaving a lot of us with our devices on repeat and last week Ms. Chloe Bailey dropped her first solo, titled " Have Mercy" and it's already hit over 14 million views.  Now some may know Chloe from her performing with her sister Halle as a music duo along with the roles they play on the hit show " Grownish" but now the two sisters have somewhat branched off and are doing their own independent projects.

Nonetheless, I couldn't wait to see what all the hype was about when it came to her new video, so as soon I got the chance I watched it and was blown away by her performance in her video. She's embraced herself a lot more than before being less modest as far as sex appeal, unlike a few months ago when she went on IG defending herself against haters for her newfound love and acceptance for her body. Watching her new video had me like " Is This the same Chloe Bailey?! Lol

As I continued to watch the video I noticed Chloe portrayed herself as Medusa but that wasn't the first time she's taken on the Medusa persona. So, who was Medusa, and why is Chloe Bailey compared to this Greek Gorgon?
So Medusa represents philosophy, beauty, and art which also describes Chloe Bailey. Yet, then again the legend tells of Medusa once being a beautiful, avowed priestess who was cursed for breaking her vow to celibacy, and when looking at her new video "Have Mercy" it makes it look like Chloe is far from being out of touch with her sexuality, turning guys into stone and all. Medusa also symbolizes erotic desire, which erotic desire is displayed all throughout that video displaying Chloe as an attractive yet dangerous woman.

Moreover according to symbolsage.com

"Modern powerful women have proudly worn a head full of snakes to depict power, sexuality, and the acknowledgment of their emerging role in society and politics. Some of the most famous female names have been associated with the image of Medusa, including Rihanna, Oprah Winfrey, and Condoleezza Rice."

Therefore, after doing a little digging on Medusa I can see why the industry keeps projecting Chloe as Medusa as she's a talented young woman with a high level of sex appeal that surely catches the opposite sex eye, so be careful guys because she turning yall into stone...Lol She's also beautiful and philosophical when it comes to her existence in the place, she's in right now in the arts. So with that being said may she continue to climb the ladder of success as she embarks on her new solo career as the renowned Chole Bailey.

I Don't Own Any Rights To The Music Video "Have Mercy"

Certified Lover Boy?!

Drake's new album "Certified Lover Boy" is Poppin! None other than the Lover Boy himself dropped his new album this past week and it's blowing up speakers everywhere...Got that "Hotline Bling."

Certified Lover Boy has not disappointed as the wait was worth this sixth album. The album doesn't just have dope lyrics but dope beats as well as I have some of the tracks on repeat just for the beat alone, as I'm asking "Who Made The Beats?!"

He has a host of featured artists that also brings the fire from Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Giveon, Future, Jay-Z to a host of others that sends this album to its peak, no Drake didn't make this wave alone.

I'm already holding conversations with people about their thoughts on the album as we discuss our favorite tracks. And honestly, the whole album goes not just one track. But of course, everyone has that one track or two that they just gravitate, connect with, and vibe out to while listening to this joint.

Moreover, this sixth album doesn't just spark conversation because of how it didn't disappoint but also because of the album cover which displays rows of pregnant women, which has people questioning the meaning behind it. He also has a track on his album called "Papi" which on this tracks The Lover Boy  says "To All My Sons Worldwide." Having people ask "what does Drake mean by that verse?" The funny thing is there are so many speculations and questions being asked about the album cover I can't cover them all \'.'/

Then you have other people asking does the album cover express the notion that Drake has had multiple women pregnant worldwide? As we should all know by now there is always a hidden message when it comes to these types of things...Lol We just have to wait and see will Drake speak on it.

Nonetheless, if you haven't heard "Certified Lover Boy" yet do yourself a favor and check it out so you can catch that wave and feel the heat that everyone else is feeling right now before the end of Summer. Ijs ;.p

P.S. For Those Who Listen From A Desktop or Laptop You'll Get To Hear The Music Playing Which Gets Changed Every Week.

Let's Go Space Jam 2 "VS" Space Jam

So let's go there with the original "Space Jam Vs  Space Jam 2" because I'm part of the generation that was able to see and appreciate the original Space Jam that featured one of the most Prominent Basketball Players of his time the One and Only flight man himself Micheal Jordan. Now don't get me wrong I've recently watched both versions of Space Jam back to back and the new version featuring "King James" is of his own caliber.

I've been a busy bee hearing the buzz as some people feel as though Warner Bros should have left Space Jam as it was with people asking " Why mess with perfection?" And asking questions "Like did we really need a Space Jam 2? And did LeBron bring that originality, like Jordan did in the original Space Jam?" And honestly, the reviews are mixed.

I can't lie LaBron James really took a chance playing that role behind Jordan 15 yrs later and I don't even think it was about Jordan when it comes to Space Jam2 I think it was that Space Jam was perfected and didn't need a second part yet you know the motto " money talk and bullcrap walks." None the less Space Jam 2 is of its time and I don't feel as though the two movies " part 2" can be compared to each other. I think part 2 is of its generation and that's what makes it unique despite some people calling the movie a flop.

Then let's not forget when Micheal Jordan played in the original Space Jam movie unlike flexing like Paramount Pictures did in Space Jam2 with almost if not every character they've ever had making a cameo in Space Jam2  Warner Bros played a Strong hand in 1996 by incorporating the Looney Tunes into the Space Jam because in the 90's Looney Tunes apparel was trending and popular. Remember Lot29 and Ice Berg clothing?!

And don't even get me started about Space Jam: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture and its All-Star list of Artists who was featured on it from R.Kelly "I believe I can fly," Monica " For You I Will" Seal "Fly Like A Eagle" etc. The original Space Jam soundtrack doesn't even come close to being compared to Space Jam 2 soundtrack. There's no competition between the two when it comes to the soundtracks because hands down the Original Space Jam soundtrack Reigns Supreme!

Moreover, that leads me to Coming to America

And how it had me asking the same questions people were asking about Space Jam 2...Like all these years later did we really need a part 2 of Coming to America? I mean Coming to America itself was a classic on its own with "Soul Glo, Sexual Chocolate " and "The MacDowells" those scenes and characters along with the whole cast and script had me ROTF LMAO as a little girl, Eddie Murphy was just genius for that movie and when watching Coming to America 2 it just doesn't seem to hold the same Weight as the 1st Coming To America does as well as did yet then again I do understand it's not of my time but more so of today's generation and to them part 2 of Coming to America will be the classic of their time. I'm just grateful that my generation had the Best versions of both movies plus soundtracks and that I'm able to compare the two from then until now...Lol

So I close with the ball in your court... As I ask your thoughts on the sequels Space Jam2 and Coming to America 2 along with the soundtracks for both movies.

Until Next Time "Power Up!" ;.)
