Celebrating 50 Years On One Station!?

I know it's been a minute, but if you're looking for one of the hottest radio stations to listen to right now it would definately be KJLH as they are celebrating 50 years on aire, on one station. Now who can top that!? In my Katt Williams voice I'll wait ...Lol

 

 KJLH have been playing some of the hottest music on radio since 1979 when Stevie Wonder
purchased the station from John Lamar Hill back in the 70's and ever since despite up's and down's the station had endured from limited signal reception, to competeing stations 102.3 has stood the test of time.

102.3 is one of the only stations in my opinion that continuously plays some of the Hottest R&B tracks out today as well as artist, but I'm not suprised being that Stevie Wonder owns the station and as he stated in Sir Dukes 

"Music is a world within itself

With a language we all understand
With an equal opportunity
For all to sing, dance and clap their hands
But just because a record has a groove
Don't make it in the groove
But you can tell right away at letter A
When the people start to move" 

Listening to KJLH brings back so many great memories for me. I think back to when I was a little girl waking up on Sunday mornings to KJLH playing gospal on the radio as my grandmother cooked breakfast and got ready for church. We would listen to KJLH all the way to church as it was the only FM station that played gospal on Sundays as they still do today on Sundays and we loved it. As I still love it and listen to it presently today.

Kindness, Joy, Love and Happiness is what KJLH stands for and that's the exact feeling I recieve when I listen to this station and I'm so happy for them. I wish them 50 more years on aire as I enjoy the station and the good vibes the station sends out on the aire waves. Congrates to 102.3 as the station celebrates it's 50th anniversary.

Yandy and Mendeecees Made History !?

Yandy and Mendeecee Harris from the reality t.v. show Love and Hip Hop New York has made history this past Memorial Day Monday as the first celebrity couple on Love & Hip Hop ever in history to share their wedding vows on national television as millions watched.
                             


From the East Coast to the West Coast we all tuned in to watch Yandy and Mendeecees jump the broom. The two shared in an elaborate wedding ceremony with friends and family this past Memorial Day as they said their vows on nationally televised television while millions tuned in to watch (including myself) and the ceremony is one to remember for times to

come. 

There has been no other celebrity couple on Love & Hip Hop in history who have gotten married on live t.v., (in the first time in forever)  Yandy and Mendeecee's are the first. Sowing up that spot in history ;.p Well Congrats to the newlyweds!

Pacquiao?! Vs. Mayweather?!

Well, Time Have Finally Brought Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Together At Last In One Of The Most Anticipated Fights Since Floyd Mayweather Jr. Fighting Oscar Dela Hoya Back In May of 2007... 

Tonight's fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been one of the most anticipated fights of all times being considered "The Fight Of The Century" mostly because of time and circumstance.    

Back six years ago Floyd Mayweather Jr. refused to fight Manny Pacquiao because he believed Pacquiao was taking steroids while Mayweather Jr. had domestic violence accusations against him both postponing the fight until a later time and now that time has finally arrived. Tonight on May2, 2015 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada circumstances have changed and these two Welterweight Weight boxers will step foot in the ring for the first time ever with it being hard to till which Boxer is gonna take the belt.



Yet, whoever does win this fight being it Pacquiao or Mayweather will win a newly created belt by the WBC. The belt will be valued at 1 million is an exact replica of the current belt except it has thousands of emeralds in place of the gold plating for the center logo. The belt also contains both Pacquiao and Maywaethers Jr. faces, along with faces of former WBC president Jose Sulaiman and boxing Legend Muhammad Ali.
   

So, who's the official beer sponsor for this fight? Tecte, beating out Corona's 5.2 million bid with a bid of 5.6 million. ( So, for all you Corona drinkers, looks like you'll have to find another beach tonight..Lol) Tecte will be holding down these rounds. Tecte's logo will be the ring's center moniker during tonight's fight, also being visible on all the fight promotional advertisements.


And with that ya'll I'm out to prep for the fight tonight! I'm Team Mayweather tonight just in cause one may be curious to know ;.p

What's Bigger Than Big!?

So, what's bigger than Big!? Big Boy moving from Power 106 to surf the radio sound waves as the new morning host and radio personaily of Los Angeles new Hip Hop & R&B station L.A.Real 92.3 ....
                                    
                 
Big Boy is so loved and valued as a radio personality that according to 2smagazine.com 

Power106 and EmmisCommunications was sueing Big Boy for leaving them to work for iHeartmedia but according to the article "Big Boy's contract was up." Big Boy was with Emmis Communication for 18 years before recently making the move to his new home Real 92.3 back in February of 2015. 

And may I say according to TMZ  the perks of moving from Emmis Communications to iHeartRadio had some advantages that came with it, one in particular the use of a private jet. Congrads to Big Boy! 

Now that's still not bigger than Big Boy but it's pretty close..Lol

"Big Boy was making $1.45 million a year — plus bonuses and a car — but his contract was up at the end of the month" (Which was in Febuary at the time).

Empire!

Well, Happy New Years All!

I know it's been a minute and the last time I shared I mentioned how all the good shows that cast mainly African Americas/Blacks were canceled. Well, since then has risen a new show with a primarily all Black yet diverse cast Empire....

Empire has a star-studded mixed cast, Terrance Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Malik Yoba, and Gabourey Sidibe to mention the least and to me, maybe thats why the show is so captivating! Lee Daniels knew exactly what he was doing when he chose his cast and guest stars, such as Naomi Campbell and Cuba GoodingJr. :.* 

This new drama series circles around Lucious Lyon, Cookie Lyon, and their three sons. One son is gay, the other one is a rapper, and the oldest who's married to a Caucasian woman. Out of the three sons, one will either Take or be Left Lucious Music Empire. The catch is Lucious has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and given only three years to live, but only a couple of people know (at least for right now) and it's not Cookie or his son's.

 Now to me because of their well acted out Big screen rolls, which displayed so much on-camera chemistry in "Hustle & Flow" it just seems so right watching Terrance Howard and Taraji in their new primetime t.v. roll's, and did you know Timbaland is the songwriter and song producer for the show?!


Overall I've watched the first three episodes and I must say I didn't like the part in the first episode that dissed the President, but other than that I'm kind of interested in seeing how it all plays out.  Lucious has three years to live, so the network may have been given a three-season contract for now, but we'll just have to wait and see ;.p

Wendy Williams What?!

I was watching the Wendy Williams show last week and she made the comment...

 
" She no longer watches, Love and Hip Hop, Atl Exe's or Real Housewife's" because she " Matured" but it just seemed like all the shows she started naming off was mostly minority shows. 
Then I started feeling like da*m Wendy we as people of color already don't have any good show's to watch anymore, Martin got canceled, In Living Color got canceled, The Wayans Bros got canceled, LL Cool J In The House got canceled and that's just to name a few, and here she goes trying to downplay the shows that cast consists of mostly Black people. But guess what Wendy Williams, I'll continue watching LHHA, Atlanta Exe's, & Real House Wives of Atlanta, it's helping support Black entertainers and I don't see anything wrong with that :.) 

Then  Phaedra Parks from Real House Wives Of Atlanta is getting a divorce from Apollo, (which he deserves from those stunts he pulled with Kenya) and Phaedra is one of my favorite Housewives, so I'll continue to watch and  support the shows 




Moreover, is the rumor that Nick Cannon separated from Mariah Carey to hook up with Amber Rose and I do believe that's just a rumor, because no way can I see Nick Cannon Leaving Mariah Carey for Amber Rose, I just don't see it and I'll leave it at that ;.p        
I seriously doubt Nick Cannon and Amber Rose are hooking up in an intimate way, I do believe it's just business when it comes to them collaborating.

Beyonce Rings The Alarm!

Alright ya'll, so Beyonce be damned if she let him go,  according to Ring The Alarm!.... 

Simply because she's been through this too long, and she'll be damned if she sees another chick on Hov's arm...

So, where does this young lady Liv come into play? Because the buzz going around is that 

A lot of people are calling her Jay-Z mistress, but how can she be a mistress if she's never slept or has had any intimate connection with Jay-Z, other than her alleging Jay-Z was in pursuit of her?

I mean she says it herself with her interview with ETonline.com, she states

"She wants to be clear that she was not Jay-Z's mistress even though she says she could have been."

Therefore, being that she was never romantically involved with Jay-Z and only spoke of them having some sort of chemistry while working together, leads me to believe this Liv is apologizing for something that could have transpired between the two, but never did and the shots at Beyonce seems like hating because Jay-Z maybe in her mind dissed her.




Nonetheless, in conclusion, Liv needs to stop apologizing and start realizing that Beyonce ain't gonna let Jay-Z go, because if she let him go the next one
